This policy does not state that ShiftSafe is currently an APP entity or provide legal advice about whether an exemption applies. ShiftSafe intends to apply privacy-conscious practices and will comply with applicable privacy law.
2. Personal information we may collect
The public website does not currently provide an active enquiry form and does not intentionally collect account, workforce, payment or health information.
We may receive a name, business contact details, organisation, role, enquiry details and correspondence history when a person communicates with us through an approved external channel.

Please do not send sensitive information through a general business enquiry unless we have asked for it through an appropriate protected process.
3. How and why we handle information
We may collect personal information directly from an individual, from their organisation where appropriate, or through providers operating the website on our behalf. We may use it to:
- respond to an enquiry or communicate about a potential business relationship;
- operate, secure, diagnose and improve the public website;
- maintain business and governance records;
- comply with applicable legal obligations; and
- prevent or investigate misuse, security incidents or fraud.
We do not sell personal information.
4. Disclosure and service providers
We may disclose information to personnel and service providers who need it for an authorised purpose, including website hosting, security, professional advice and business administration. We require providers to handle information consistently with their role and applicable obligations.
The website is hosted by Vercel. Technical data may be processed in locations used by that provider. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.
5. Security and retention
We use proportionate technical and organisational controls designed to protect information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably required for its purpose, legitimate business recordkeeping and applicable legal obligations.
6. Access and correction
An individual may ask for access to personal information we hold about them or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. We may need to verify identity and may decline a request where permitted by law, explaining the reason where required.
7. Privacy questions and complaints
Privacy questions, access or correction requests, and complaints should be sent to deepan@shiftsafe.com.au.
We will acknowledge a complaint and aim to investigate and respond within a reasonable period. If applicable and the person is not satisfied with our response, they may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
